By now you’ve probably heard of the spray drone hype going on ever since we had all that rain starting late 2023. So what’s behind it all and why are growers taking action?
Availability: By having a T50 yourself, you can spray/spread anytime, day or night in a moment's notice.
Efficacy: The drones' propellers sit just 3m off the ground, forcing the droplets down and circulating them to get more liquid on-target.

The DFH Ag team has come up with our own reasons why we think the T50 is king
Spraying efficiency - the manufacturer quotes 21 ha per hour. This is higher than any other similar model in Australia, the T50 achieves this due to its upgraded speed and flow rate of 24L per min (running all 4 x spray lances).
Spreading efficiency - the manufacturer quotes 108 kg per minute (empties the hopper in about 30 secs), or 1.5 tonnes per hr. Also higher than any other similar model in Australia. The T50 spreader is larger than the T40 one and has a more consistent output rate of granules.

T50 is the only choice if you're looking for a flexible multi-terrain machine. It is not simply a flying boom sprayer. It can survey slopes up to 20°. *To ensure a high success rate of surveying and mapping, DJI AGRAS T50 will automatically adjust its flight speed based on the hill slope. The steeper the slope, the slower its speed.
Area Route surveying: Surveys and maps all areas and automatically detects field boundaries and obstacles.
Boundary Route surveying: Surveys and maps the 20 m wide area around the field boundary. This mode is capable of quickly surveying large areas and is suitable for areas without obstacles.
Orchard and field routes are compatible with T series AGRAS drones. Before a mission, check operating parameters such as the field margins, route spacing, and flight speed.
When conducting fast charging by connecting a third-party generator, please select a generator with 220 V-240 V output and output power no lower than 12 kW. Connect the live wires (labelled with L), null lines (labelled with N) and earth wires (labelled with PE) of the two fast charging cables of the C10000 Smart Charger with the live wire, null line and earth wire of the generator, respectively.
1. Larger discharge hatch, flow increase, and a maximum 108 kg of granules can be spread per minute;
2. With the spiral channel spinning disk, spreading is more uniform;
3. Capacity has been increased to 75 L.
The DJI AGRAS T50 has DJI's new O3 video transmission system equipped with four antennas. It can transmit smoother images when working with tall crops. The video transmission signal quality is greatly improved.
1. Connect the support rod via the adapter and secure the DJI Relay in an open and unobstructed area.
2. Make sure that the DJI Relay is installed at least 2 meters higher than obstacles to ensure smooth signal transmission.
3. Do not use the DJI Relay during thunderstorms.
Phantom 4 RTK, Phantom 4 Multispectral, DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral and DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise are supported. Photos taken by non-DJI aircraft are not supported.
The upload limit for a single mission is 20,000 photos, including TIF format photos. We recommend that you upload no more than 10,000 photos per mission.
Elevation Analysis: Monitor elevation data to analyze land level status and provide guidance on leveling operations to improve efficiency.
Crop growth monitoring: Observe crop growth through NDVI and other vegetation indices to identify seedling emergence, nutritional status, weed distribution, water stress, and other conditions, to improve field scouting efficiency.
Prescription Maps: Generate prescription maps for variable rate fertilization and crop protection based on crop growth monitoring results, ensuring even growth and reducing the application of chemicals.

What is the different between our
DJI warranty drones
, and the
DFH Warranty drones?
Virtually nothing. All the DJI drones we sell come:
1. In a factory sealed box from the DJI factory in China, and with an Australian power plug/adapter.
2. With English language on the box, in the manuals and the on-screen display menus.
3. With all duties and taxes already paid for (including GST).
4. With a standard DJI factory warranty. With some of our drones, this warranty was designed for people living in another country (not in Australia). This is why we apply our own 12 month DFH warranty for these drones – so your drone is warranted by DFH for use in Australia. Subject to the Warranty Terms and Conditions, under the DFH warranty, DFH agree to repair or replace the drone which it supplied to you at its own cost or provide you with a refund if the drone is found by DFH to be defective within 12 months of purchase.

The highest standard for drone businesses
You can fly commercially without a drone pilot licence, but you must register your drone and get an RPA operator accreditation from CASA. It’s a convenient option for new people wanting to just get their drone in the air legally and start making some money.
Remember flying a drone to make money is actually illegal in Australia unless you at least an RPA operator accreditation from CASA (or an RePL or ReOC).

How to get an RPA operator accreditation from CASA:
Here are the 2 steps you need to do to be allowed (by CASA) to fly a drone for commercial use without needing a licence:
Step 1: register your drone here, otherwise you would face a fine up to $11,100.
Step 2: get an RPA operator accreditation before you fly here.
If your drone is over 2kg, and you typically prefer to fly for someone else's drone business (not start your own business), it is best to obtain a Remote Pilot Licence.
By far the most popular licence option. RePL is typically a 5 day course, covering theory and practical, or do the theory part online + 2 days practical. This drone pilot licence does not expire and there is no renewal required! Minimum age is 17.
Best if your drones are over 2kg and you wish to set up your own drone business and work directly with customers. Typically for aspiring drone businesses owners who plan to hire individual pilots and operate a full time business.
Getting a ReOC is a more involved process that requires you to first have an RePL, and to then submit your company procedure and policies to the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) for review and approval. The reward for getting this certification is having more options and less restrictions regarding fly zones, and more industry recognition from potential customers who may decide they only want to hire pilots with the highest available certification level (ReOC holders).
